The Scope of Accreditation as of 03.03.2022 comprises 26 test methods in the following four working areas:

• 12 accredited test procedures in the Chemical Laboratory
• 8 accredited test procedures in the Mechanical Testing Laboratory
• 4 accredited test procedures in the Physics Laboratory
• 2 accredited test procedures in Metallography
   

The Association for Practical Foundry Research is accredited as an inspection body Austrian Foundry Research Institute pursuant to the Accreditation Act 2012 AkkG 2012, Federal Law Gazette I No. 28/2012, last amended by Federal Law Gazette I No. 40/2014, with decision of the Federal Minister for Digitalisation and Economic Location, GZ BMDW-92.221/0365-IV/5/2019, amended with amendment decision GZ 2022-0.168.775 of 17.03.2022, with effect from 03.03.2022, accredited by Accreditation Austria.

The Testing Laboratory complies with the requirements of EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017.

The initial date of validity of the accreditation of the inspection body is 25.02.1999.
